I haven’t taken a real vacation in several years, so I’m packing this summer with as much travel as possible.  Vacation #1  - a road trip with two of my pledge sisters - is quickly approaching!  (It makes my heart happy that I am not the only remaining single, non-mother from the ‘01 pledge class.)

Stop 1: Memphis, TN, for the Fourth of July weekend celebration on Beale Street, followed by a visit to Graceland.

Stop 2: Savannah, GA, for a little bit of history, soul food, southern gentlemen, and Hilton Head Island.

Stop 3: New Orleans, LA, for some sorority fraternity action (Sorority Convention coincidentally collides with fraternity convention in the same hotel.  Debauchery will ensue.)

The destinations aren’t geographically convenient, but our second stop at Orange Beach was cancelled courtesy of the oil spill, so we threw logic (and maps) out the window and decided on Savannah.
